County approves to combine job duties
ANDERSON- Kat Lee, Geographical Information System (GIS) and environmental coordinator presented the court with a proposition to combine the position of two-part time positions to form one full-time position.
The proposition is to have the solid waste coordinator, GIS assistant and sign installer to be converted into a single salary III grade fulltime position.
The commissioners approved to consolidate the position effective Oct. 1, 2019.
Grimes County Investment
Committee
Commissioners approved the addition of five new members to the Grimes County Investment Committee.
The committee additions are Pct. 4 Commissioner Phillip Cox, Jessica Herrera the assistant auditor, Bill Thomas a Grimes County resident, Mary Ann Waters the Tax Assessor-collector and Grimes County Treasurer Janice Trant.
Subdivision plats
Emergency Management and subdivision coordinator David Lilly brought forth a plat in the Triple C Estates subdivision and a replat in the King Oaks subdivision.
A public hearing concerning the replat in the King Oaks subdivision was held before commissioner’s court Wednesday, May
29. No one attended to attest the replat. Commissioners approved the replat of Section 4, Block D that will combine Lot 1 (1.09 acres) and Lot 12 (1.11 acres) into a single lot and redisignated as Lot 12-R
(2.20 acres).
Commissioners also approved Mr. Walton’s plat for the Triple C subdivision that divides his 15.154 acres of land into six lots.
Road use agreement
Road and Bridge Engineer Harry Walker couldn’t attend commissioners court so Grimes County Judge Joe Fauth III spoke on his behalf.
According to Fauth Entergy Transfer was in the process of completing work on CR 246 and had not obtained a Special Road Use and Indemnity Agreement. The work had already been completed and demolition was in the process. The roads were reviewed and only damage to a newly installed culvert by one of the company’s drivers was damaged. The company agreed to pay for the culvert repair and road use agreement.
The court approved the ratification of the road use agreement to allow the company to complete the demolition without being in violation.
Burn Ban
No change was need to the burn ban that was lifted Sept.12.
