Richards went undefeated to win the Panther Classic, their first volleyball tournament hosted in their new gym. The Lady Panthers opened the tournament with a win over Founders Christian, 2–0 (25–7, 25–12). They defeated Allen Academy, 2–0 (25–17, 25–15) and LaTexo, 2–0 (25–5, 25–6) to round out day one.
