•April is Child Abuse Prevention month. In 2018, there was 66,000 cases in Texas and 45 children died per ABC News outlets.

•The Gabriel Project of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Plantersville is here to offer assistance to pregnant women during their pregnancy and after the birth of their baby by providing practical advice, friendship, emotional and spiritual support and items for babies and toddlers. •The public, soloists, choirs and more are invited to St Matthew Missionary Baptist Church in Magnolia on FM 149 and FM 1488 at 7 p.m. Saturday, June 8, for the gospel play, The Old Ship of Zion.
