Panthers displaying youthful talent
Richards played a trio of hard-fought games winning one of three.
The Panthers (3-2) battled the Alpha Omega Lions Nov. 17, falling 47-54. Richards was led by a pair of freshmen, Owen Piersall and Heath Graves. Piersall had 16 points, seven rebounds, three assists and six steals. Graves scored 14, had five rebounds, two assists and three steals.
The Leggett Pirates pulled past Richards Nov. 20, with a 56-40 win. Graves paced the Panthers with nine points followed by freshman Jackson Tennison who scored seven and grabbed 12 rebounds.
Richards bounced back Nov. 21, with a 44-31 win over Snook. Graves scored 14 points in the win, grabbed four rebounds, had a pair of steals and three assists. Bodie Wrobleski scored eight, pulled down three rebounds and had three steals. Piersall and Tennison each scored six. Tennison also secured 10 rebounds while Piersall had seven rebounds and three assists.
The Panthers are competing at the Goodrich tournament Nov. 30-Dec. 2.
