Owls drop opening two
The Anderson-Shiro Owls are still working toward their first win under new head coach, James Glaspie. The Owls dropped their opening two games, an overtime thriller against Somerville, 61-47, and against a stout Houston Kashmere team, 45-89.
In the loss to Kashmere, the Owls had a pair of double-digit performances. Kevin Smith scored 18 points including a four-of-10 performance behind the arc. Christian Schroeder had 10 points followed by Ta’Colton Calhoun-Mock with eight, Sage Price with seven and Rome River and William Abraham rounded out the scoring with two each.
The Owls hosted Moulton Nov. 28 (results were not available at press time). Anderson-Shiro will compete at the Lexington Tournament Nov. 30 – Dec. 2.
