Gooch returns to State

Iola senior, Lindsey Gooch, punched her ticket to the 2A State Cross Country Meet at Old Settler’s Park in Round Rock for the third consecutive year, placing fifth at Regionals. Gooch began running cross country as a sophomore and has been dominant. She placed 16th at the State meet in 2021 and 39th last season after falling at the start of the race. She is set to run Saturday, Nov. 4, at 10:10 a.m.
