Ritter shines on the court

Navasota dominated doubles competition, but LaGrange had the edge in singles to take a 9-8 team win over the host Rattlers Aug. 24.

Kylie Ritter was a star on the court winning her singles match in position one and combining with William Reyes to earn first place in the Rattlers top mixed doubles match.

Freshman Bailey Sellers earned the singles win in position six and partnered with freshman partner Madison Junek to win the position two doubles match.

Navasota picked up four other wins including singles wins from Nolan Ruiz in place three and Gabriel Castaneda in position five. Carlos Sndoval and Nelson Foster won boys doubles position two and Grace Mendez and Alisha Bravo-Pickering won their girls double match in position three.

The Rattlers begin district competition in two weeks against Sealy.
