JORGE ALEJANDRO PEREZ 1982 – 2023

Jorge Perez, 40, of Navasota, formerly of Dickenson, passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2023. A memorial service honoring his legacy was held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 29, 2023, at Nobles Funeral Chapel with Rev. Armando Villa. Cremation services are in the care of Nobles Funeral Chapel.

Jorge Perez was born on Thursday, December 23, 1982, to Lino and Doris Gutierrez Perez, in Harlingen, Texas. His father shared that the nurses hurried him home to enjoy Christmas at home. Jorge graduated from Harlingen South High School and attended the Art Institute of Houston. He went on to become an Executive Chef for Landry’s Inc. on the FantaSea Cruise.

He married his life partner and friend, Heather Mack. Jorge was the proud father of his children Hayden (15), Sophia (2), and Mason (1). He was truly providing a home for his family. The best time in Jorge’s life was teaching his kids how to fish and how to enjoy the great outdoors. His love for cooking was inspired by his mother, the late Doris Perez. Jorge learned to appreciate the outdoors by his father’s example of being a guide to better living. Fishing is and was Jorge’s favorite pastime with family or friends.

Jorge is preceded in death by his mother, Doris Gutierrez Perez; grandmother, Graciela Gutierrez; and grandfather, George Gutierrez.

He is survived by his wife, Heather Perez; his children, whom he adored, Hayden, Sophia, and Mason; his father, Lino Perez; his brother and wife, Robert and Melisa Perez, and their 3 children.
