Local woman graduates from USMC boot camp

PVT Rylie W. Cude, 19, of Plantersville graduated March 8 from United States Marine Corps boot camp at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island. Cude successfully completed 13 weeks of intensive basic training at MCRD Parris Island, as one of 63 recruits in Training Platoon 4008. While in recruit training, Cude received the Sharpshooter badge upon scoring 301 out of 350 and was the religious lay reader for her platoon. Following 10 days leave, she will report to Camp Pendleton for one month at Military Combat Training, then will attend Military Occupation Specialty school. Cude will join the fleet pending her permanent duty station.
