Early voting only had under 50 on the first day at Navasota Center. General Election is May 6, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Locations are Grimes County Courthouse, Navasota Center and Shiro Civic Association. The Grimes Health Resource Center, 210 S. Judson in the Grimes St. Joseph Hospital is opening a clothes closet for residents of Grimes County. All items will be FREE to anyone in need. Donations may be dropped off at the Resource Center Monday – Thursday, 8-5 p.m. or Friday 8-3 p.m. For more information call 936-870-4575.
Navasota Sounds of Summer Concert Series returns June 16, from 7-9:30 p.m. with live music, vendors and family fun.
The extension of Pinebrook to Texas 249 was scheduled to begin April 24 and be completed July 23. This should provide residents with an optional route for accessing Texas 249.

Free Groceries are available every third Thursday of the month, 11 a.m. at Relay Station in Plantersville for families in Plantersville/ Stoneham/Todd Mission.
