Four Rattlers advance to Regionals
Four Navasota High School track athletes advance to the 4A Region 4 Meet at Texas A&M University Kingsville.
Lady Rattler sophomore Miracle Montgomery won the Area Championship at Bay City High School with a throw of 34-feet, 10-inches. Three Rattlers are also heading to the Region 4 Meet. Junior Jadyn Williams had a jump of 44-feet, 11-inches to place second in triple jump. Sophomore Markerian Wesley-Stamps placed second in high jump clearing 6-feet, 10-inches. Senior Noah Silcox placed third in shot put with a throw of 46-feet.
Other Rattlers competing at the Area Meet Girls Shotput: Miala Harper, seventh place, 31-feet, 5-inches; Tiara Mc-Coy, eighth place, 28-feet, 11-inches.
Boys
200m Dash: Cameron Ross, sixth place, 22.97; 400m Dash: Je’sus Steels, sixth place, 52.70; 110m Hurdles: Camden Dacus, sixth place, 15.64; 4x100m Relay: sixth place, Cameron Ross, Zy’Merick Taylor, Nicolas Castañeda, Edward Gray.
The 4A Region 4 Meet is April 28-29 at Texas A&M University Kingsville.
