MYRLE MCDUFFIE 1940 – 2023

Mrs. Myrle McDuffie, 82, of Iola, TX, passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2023. Graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 6, 2023, at Evergreen Freewill Church Cemetery with Rev. Tim Owens officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.

Myrle was born in Keith, Texas on April 18, 1940, to Reason Burns and Flonie Stedman. She attended and later graduated from Iola Independent School District. She later met and married Billie Dale McDuffie and to this union three daughters were born Wanda, Pam, and Tammy.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Reason and Flonie; husband, Billy; siblings, Bob Burns, Tilman Burns, Curtis Burns, Lloyd Burns, and Audrey McGee; and grandson, Kevin Blake McDuffie.

Left to cherish her memories are her children, Wanda Schroeder and her husband Milton, Pam Johnson and her husband Thomas, and Tammy Harvey and her husband Larry; grandchildren, William Schroeder and his wife Mallory, Stephen Schroeder and his wife Miranda, Stephanie Schroeder Cole, Jamie Rosipal and her husband Jason, and Heather Harvey Wieghat and her husband Tanner, Kristi Hall McDuffie, and Streater Johnson and his wife Katie; 12 greatgreat grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Serving as pallbearers are William Schroeder, Stephen Schroeder, Streater Johnson, Tanner Wieghat, Scotty McKinney, and Andy Selman; and serving as honorary pallbearers are Kevin McDuffie and her great-grandchildren.
