White Hall VFD BBQ March 4
Last Friday I had the pleasure of a full day with Jackson. Jack is seven months old and was booted out of daycare in College Station because he had a low-grade fever. His mom and Kaleigh both teach at Wellborn Junior High and his mom was an assistant dance instructor at Navasota when Paige was there. Little Jack had to get used to Gingi but I guess I did okay because he did not want to sleep. Kacie says the reason that little ones do not want to sleep here is because they don’t want to miss anything. Little Man was not too sure about the baby.
Ash Wednesday is always a solemn church service for me. It was good to see the members at Salem Lutheran. Randy and Jim practicing ringing the bell early was not nice but at least I got some heart exercise!
The Somerville kids are busy with sports as the basketball team is still in the playoffs. I wanted to go to the game but I waited too long to get tickets online. Don’t they know that old folks have some challenges doing that. Joni will keep me posted throughout the game. Bree cheers so the family goes to support. Baseball started and Bean is playing and Bree has a powerlifting meet this weekend.
Please consider donating to Navasota Food Pantry as they need canned goods, beans, rice, pasta, cornbread and pancake mix, breakfast cereal, and milk.
Saturday, March 4, Anderson First United Methodist Church, 246 South Main Street, Anderson, is hosting a multi-family large garage sale with proceeds going towards a playground. The event begins at 8 a.m. until 2 p.m., rain or shine. There will be furniture, toys, household goods, wall décor, home décor, maternity clothes, boy, girl, men and women’s clothes, baby clothes, shoes, purses, books, hats and jewelry.
Saturday, March 4, WHCVFD will be holding their monthly fundraiser and we would enjoy having you come by and get a sandwich.
Bib Kapchinski called me this week and she is feeling much better since her surgery. I know that some of our Navasota people will remember her.
The White Hall community has additional members to place on your pray list. Lois Bell had hip surgery this week; Delores Mitschke fell and is being watched closely for additional issues; little Charlotte Serres and Loyd Finke are currently dealing with a medical condition.
Please add our sick and homebound friends to your prayer list. These friends include Jean Fleischhauer, Sue Kolojaco, Mary Bauer, Rosa Finke, Mary Whatley, Billie Wittenbach, Alexander Hanna, Troy Weigand, Shawn Welch, Kimberly Weiser, Bib Kapchinski and Betty Feldmann.
