TX 6 bridge construction enters phase 2
The transition into phase 2 of the Navasota River Bridge in the northbound lanes of Texas 6 is currently in progress.
In this new phase, the contractor will replace the concrete bridge rail, upgrade the metal beam guard fence and work on cleaning and sealing the bridge joints. During phase 2, the northbound entrance ramp of FM 3090 will be closed. This phase will shift traffic from left lane closed to right lane closed and construction will take approximately 3 weeks to complete.
The detour has been revised to make TX 6 northbound traffic travel southbound on the Texas frontage road past FM 3090 to the TX 90 turn around. Traffic will merge onto TX 6 northbound. Eastbound and westbound traffic on FM 3090 wishing to travel northbound on TX 6, will also take the southbound frontage road to the TX 90 turn around to travel northbound on TX 6.
The $485,000.00 bridge maintenance project is contracted to Talbran Enterprises LLC, that will upgrade the bridge rails and address multiple repair areas on the bridge to improve the longevity of the bridge.
