Rattler Tennis begins fall schedule

Navasota hosted the Caldwell Hornets to begin 2023 team tennis play Aug. 17. The Hornets prevailed, but the young Rattlers had positive showings including three wins.

Navasota Head Tennis Coach Stephanie Maxson said her team has four freshman, six sophomores, five juniors and three seniors.

Kylie Ritter notched a win competing in the number one position in girls’ singles. The freshman girl’s duo of Madison Junek and Bailey Sellers picked up the win competing in the fourth position. Nolan Ruiz and Sellers competed in the number two mixed doubles match and earned the win.

Navasota hosts LaGrange Aug. 24, beginning at 5:30 p.m.
