Rattler freshman teams secure wins

Both Rattler freshman football teams were in action Thursday, Sept. 29, and each walked away with wins. 

The Freshman blue team scored 14 fourth quarter points to defeat the Bay City Blackcats at Rattler Stadium 26-22.

Grayson Munoz scored two rushing touchdowns. Navasota quarterback Mark McGinty connected with Valentin Castañeda for two touchdowns in the win.

The freshman white team traveled to play against newly formed West Fork High School. The Rattlers were a touchdown better with a 14-7 win. 

Ty’Kavien West scored twice on the ground. He also converted a two-point conversion run.

The freshman blue team plays at Needville Thursday, Oct. 6, beginning at 5 p.m. The freshman white team game is TBD.
