The Matchup
For those who haven’t bought in, the Anderson-Shiro record is proving to be justified more each week. No matter who the opponent is, the Owls stay true to playing their brand of football. Zacarrius Haynes carried the ball 29 yards against Hemphill for 196 yards and four touchdowns. Shyheim Jones had a complete game with nine tackles, three for a loss and a fumble recovery. He also rushed for 47 yards.
Key to victory
Stop the run or move over and let Anderson-Shiro advance to the next week still unbeaten. If the Bulldogs can’t slow the Owl running game down, then they don’t stand much of a chance to win. Defenses have known they are going to get a heavy dose of the ground game from the Owls but so far, opponents haven’t been able to deter them from their game plan.
