Lady Rattlers defeat district rival

Navasota took sole possession of first place in District 25-4A knocking off district rival Royal, 34-45, Dec. 19, at Rattler Gym.

The Lady Rattlers 163, 2-0, were paced by senior Bryanna Stokes who scored 17 points and had five steals. Miracle Montgomery secured opportunities for Navasota grabbing nine rebounds in the win.

Navasota’s junior varsity team bounced back with a 34-45 win over the Lady Falcons to improve to 1-1 in District 25-4A.

The varsity girls return to action Dec. 28-29, competing in the San Antonio Randolph Classic. Both teams continue district play Saturday, Dec. 30, at Wharton.
