Lady Bulldogs reach Regional Quarterfinals

The Iola Lady Bulldogs breezed past the Kerens Lady Bobcats during their Bi-District round playoff game in Buffalo, Tuesday, Nov. 1.
They were on a roll allowing only 17 points throughout three games (25-9, 25-5, 25-3). “All of the girls played well,” said Iola Head Coach Jamie McDougald. “It was an excellent start to the playoffs for us.”
Advancing to area Saturday, Nov. 5, Iola traveled back to Buffalo to take on the District 23-2A champion Lovelady Lions. Iola secured a 3-1 win (25-13, 22-25, 25-10, 25-12) punching their ticket to the Regional Quarterfinals.
Iola traveled to Franklin to battle the Normangee Lady Panthers Tuesday, Nov. 8, in the Regional Quarterfinals (results were not available at press time). The winner meets the San Augustine vs Beckville winner.
