Iola keeps winning

The top-ranked team in class 2A continues its winning ways knocking off Normangee 3-0 (25-8, 2510, 25-13) Oct. 17.

Iola (43-1, 8-0) will begin their bid for another state title with the Bi-District playoffs beginning Monday, Oct. 30. The Lady Bulldogs had big games from several player to push past Normangee.

Lindsey Gooch had 12 kills, 13 digs and five aces. Sydney Nevill had 10 kills and Riley Goodney had 27 assists and five aces.

Iola’s JV/freshman team defeated Hearne Oct. 20. Iola played Fayetteville Oct. 24 (results were not available at press time).
