Bulldog Cross Country competing

The Iola Bulldog Cross Country team competed in Madisonville Wednesday, Aug. 31, with state qualifier, Lindsey Gooch, winning her first meet of the year. On Thursday, Sept. 8, the team ran at Waco-Midway, competing against schools from 1-A to 4-A. Each Bulldog runner shaved over a minute and a half off of their previous times. Gooch finished second among 119 competitors.

Iola competes at the Navasota Rattler Cross Country Invitational Wednesday, Sept. 14, and at the Baker Best Anderson- Shiro Cross Country Meet Wednesday, Sept. 21. They close out September in Madisonville Wednesday, Sept. 21.

This year’s team includes: Senior, Connor Evans; juniors Lindsey Gooch and Zoe Campian and sophomore Cotulla Shive.
