Big night on goal for Lady Rattlers

WALLER – The Lady Rattlers had a big night from their goalie to fend off the Scarborough Lady Spartans for a 3-1 Bi-District win at Waller High School March 24.  

Jami Palafox rejected nine attempts on goal to help secure the win. Mayra Castillo scored twice, and Jocelyn Santoy had a goal and an assist. Stephanie Padron and Mariah Guevara each had an assist. Leeyah Abercrumbia had two saves.

The Lady Rattlers (11-7-3) faced the Hardin Jefferson Lady Hawks (14-8-1) at Huffman High School March 28 in the Area Round (results were not available at press time). The winner meets the victor of Lumberton and Bellville.
