WILLIAM “BUCK” TILL

William “Buck” Noble Till, 78, of Navasota, went home to be with his heavenly Father, Sunday evening, March 1, 2020, at the home of his daughter in Round Rock

A gathering of family and friends took place from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, March 5, at St Mary’s Catholic Church, in Plantersville. A vigil service followed at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Liturgy services were held 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 6, at St Mary’s Catholic Church. Deacon Grant E. Holt presided. Graveside services and interment were 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 7, in Richland Springs Cemetery in Richland Springs, Texas. Arrangements were under the direction of Lindley-Robertson-Holt Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers were Marla Gurka, Russell Bond, Todd Ubanoski, Fred Heer, Larry Schlottman, Sean Moran and Will Binford.

Buck was born Sunday, December 21, 1941 in San Saba, Texas to Alton Aubry and Willie May Whitley Till.

He spent his work years in auto part sales. Buck really enjoyed the interaction with people. In his retirement he enjoyed traveling, especially to the casinos and raising cattle with his wife Angie.

His love for music was a huge part of his life. Buck loved Elvis and country music. He loved to sing and in his early years would play and sing Elvis to entertain his captive audience, his daughters.

Buck got the most joy in his retirement years working with the Guardian Angels at St. Mary’s Catholic Church and at the Grimes County Senior Center in Anderson.

Buck is preceded in death by his parents, and his wife Angie McLaurin-Till.

Survivors include his daughters, Sabra Jacobs and husband Donavon of Round Rock, Natalie Briggs and husband Jared of Temple and Lisa Davis and husband Lester of Houston, and a son, John Rodney McLaurin of Tomball. He was Gramps to John Ryan Davis, Joshua Noble Briggs, Zoe Jean-Marie Jacobs, Josiah Watson Briggs and Anna May Briggs and two great granddaughters, Abigail and Rylee Davis. Buck is also survived by two sisters, Nerita Barefield of Jacksboro and Ginger Skelton of Richland Springs.

The family wishes to extend a thank you to the many doctors, nurses, nurses’ aides, house keepers, food service workers, physical and occupational therapist that worked with Buck along his journey. Many of you made a lasting impression on him. Thank you for your compassion for the job you do every day.
