TERRY HUMPHREYS 1949 – 2023

Terry Humphreys, 73 of Washington, Texas, passed away February 16, 2023. 

Terry was born May 4, 1949 in San Antonio to Gussie and Phyllis (Harvey) Humphreys. He was a 1966 graduate of Highland High School in San Antonio and in 1970 received his Bachelor in Science Degree from Trinity University. Terry continued his education at Texas A&M University receiving a Master of Science Degree in Physics in 1982 and PhD in Physics in 1984. Terry thrived on work in science and technology. He was employed 1984-1998 by E Systems which then became Raytheon Technologies. He retired in 2014. On December 31, 1984, Terry married Barbara Kiel at Friedens United Church of Christ in Washington, Texas. He enjoyed cooking and loved animals. 

His surviving family includes: wife, Barbara; brother, Reginald Humphreys; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, LaBeth and Robert Snyder of Katy and Sue and Dale Schwartz of Burton; nephews, Kielan Snyder and wife Andi and their daughter Kora, and Allen Schwartz. 

Graveside services were held 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 20, at Friedens Church of Washington UCC Cemetery with Pastor Eric Dehmer officiating. Honorary pallbearers were Jim Fowler, Anil Kumar, Robert Snyder, Dale Schwartz, Kielan Snyder and Allen Schwartz.

Services are in the care of Brenham Memorial Chapel, 2300 Stringer St., Brenham, TX.
