MARY LOVE
1948 – 2021
Mary Williams Love, 73, of Navasota, died Wednesday, July 7, 2021, at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in College Station.
Calling hours will be held from12:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 16, 2021, at Lindley-Robertson-Holt Funeral Home. A celebration of her homecoming will take place 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 17, 2021, at Greater First Baptist Church, 904 W. Johnson Ave., in Anderson. Interment will follow in the Kennard Cemetery.
Mary was born February 22, 1948 in Navasota to Allen and Annie Bell Smith Williams. She attended elementary school at Alex S. Terrell as well as Jr. High and High School in Richards.
Mary confessed her faith at an early age at Greater First Baptist Church in Anderson. Upon marriage she moved to McKenzie Chapel UMC and at the time of her passing she was a faithful member and assistant treasurer at Fresh Start Ministries Brazos Valley in Bryan.
Mary was a woman of many talents. She worked in law enforcement, food service, health care, retail, education and daycare and she had a hobby of sewing.
Mary was preceded in death by her grandparents, Tom Nichols and Fredonia Williams, whom also raised her as a child, and 3 brothers, Willie James Williams, Sr., James Thomas Mason and Lloyd C. Williams.
In September of 1965 she met and married Glen Dell Love, Sr. and to this union 3 children were born: Carolyn (Perry), Glen Jr. and Latishia (Harvey). Mary had 14 grandchildren, Joshua, Bryant, Perishia (Patrick), Marquisha, Trenton, Te’Ana (Devin, Re’Ana (Benjamin), Achaia (Elias), Jaliyah, Audrice, Zachary, Auxaivion, Ian and Ontierra. She has 12 great grandchildren. Mary also leaves to mourn 2 sisters, Annie Mae and Jeannette Williams, 3 brothers, Allen (Annie), Willie E. and Robert James Williams; 3 sisters-in-law, Celestine, Lois Jean (Eddie) and Irene; 1 brother-in-law, Timothy; 3 God children, Jeffery (Myra), Denise (Billy) and Lanell; one special daughter, Antoinette Love, and a special sister-in-law, Norma Mason, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
