DOROTHY LUCILLE HAYNIE

Dorothy Lucille Haynie, 96, was born in Smithville, Texas, January 17, 1923. She passed away June 25, 2019. Services were held in Garfield, Texas June 28, 2019 at Haynie Chapel. She was laid to rest immediately after at the Haynie Cemetery.

Daughter of Violet Leurline McAdams Haynie and Daniel Wilson Haynie and direct descendants of the Reverend John Haynie, one of nine circuit riders who brought the Methodist Church to Texas.

Daughter, Ginger Ellison Haynie Lewis of Anderson, Texas and son David C. Haynie Green of Waxahachie, Texas, wish to acknowledge her passing. Grandchildren include William Lewis, Kaye Lewis Leman and Sarah Lewis Morsund; great grandchildren, Christopher William Lewis Will Lewis, Ellison Blair, William Leman and Katie Leman all of Grimes County.
