Daniel “Danny” Padron Garcia, 48, of Anderson, died Sunday morning, May 5, 2019, at his home.
A gathering of family and friends took place Sunday, May 12, 2019, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Lindley-Robertson-Holt Funeral Home. A celebration of Daniel’s life was held 1:30 p.m., Monday, May 13, 2019, at Anderson Baptist Church. Interment followed in Lake Grove Cemetery in Iola.
Serving as pallbearers were Hollie Creamer, Mikie Creamer, Ryan Poe, Josh Gates, Boogie Love and Ben Mata. Named as honorary pallbearers are Rocky Weller, Domingo Fernandez, Trevor Fernandez, Roy Garcia, Court Creamer and Christopher Garcia.
Daniel was born February 23, 1971 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Amando and Gloria Padron Garcia. He grew up in the Bedias area of Grimes County and attended school in Madisonville. As a young man he assisted in the family business, 4-Way Stop, in Roans Prairie. He has worked in many fields and was currently employed with Sanderson Farms. Daniel enjoyed fishing, hunting, ranching, BBQing and coaching softball and he was known for his great story telling, but his greatest love was his family.
Survivors include his wife, Gayla Kristin Garcia of Anderson; his children, Ashley Uvalle and husband Joseph, Amando Dean Garcia, Julie Slaughter, Dusty Rose, Kayla Garcia and Alivia Garcia; his parents, Gloria and Amando Garcia of Roans Prairie; two sisters, Kristie Mata and husband Ben and Crystal Perry and husband Manly; a brother, Christopher Garcia; grandchildren, Teagan Dean Garcia, Rhett Uvalle and future grandson, Blake Ellis Rose, along with numerous other relatives and a great number of friends.
