Two shot on Texas 6
Two Navasota men were shot in what appeared to be a targeted shooting on Texas 6 northbound Monday evening in Navasota.
Navasota Police responded to the shooting just before 6 p.m., Jan. 30, south of the FM 3090 overpass. Two male victims were transported to Bryan St. Joseph Hospital and were released later that night.
Terrance Creeks Sr. said in a Facebook live video that his son Terrance Creeks Jr. was shot in the head and it is by God’s grace his son is still alive. Creeks Sr. said the doctor was amazed the bullet entered and exited the head without cracking any bones or striking any arteries. Creeks described the shooting as senseless and said their needs to be change in Navasota because this time it was his son but next time it could someone else’s loved one. The driver in the vehicle, Andres Hernandez, was also shot.
Navasota Police Investigators closed and canvassed the highway and surrounding areas for evidence. Investigators believe this was a targeted shooting however a motive has not been determined. Officers located a firearm in the victim’s vehicle.
Creeks Sr. said during the live video that a vehicle pulled beside the targeted vehicle and opened fire.

The shooting is still under investigation and Navasota Police Chief Mike Mize stated additional details will be released later in the week.
