Toddler dies after kicked by cow

ANDERSON- A family is left to grieve after a young toddler lost her life after being kicked by a cow.

On Tuesday, Oct. 22, at approximately 3:38 p.m. law enforcement from the Grimes County Sheriff’s office met with the mother and stepfather of 3-year old Heziabah Kuehne-Duncan at the Sheriff’s office in Anderson after the couple drove there to meet medical personnel. The parents stated the little girl became unresponsive after being kicked by a cow in the 5500 block of Texas State Highway 90. Officers administered first aid until medical personnel arrived.

The young girl was treated by CHI St Joseph EMS and air-lifted to CHI St. Joseph in Bryan where she succumbed to her injuries shortly after arriving.

Grimes County Investigator Blake Baldobino stated the incident is being investigated but at this point it appears to be nothing more than a tragic accident.
