Students learn fire safety

Students at elementary schools within the county learned the importance of fire safety during Fire Safety Week. Local firefighters and members of the Texas A&M Forest Service along with special guest Smokey Bear taught students various fire safety tips and gave them a hands on opportunity to experience some of the duties performed and equipment worn by firefighters.
