Republican women host adviser to Trump, Cornyn Oct. 15

A Republican of many hats, consultant Steve Munisteri, will be the guest speaker at the Grimes County Republican Women’s monthly lunch meeting Oct. 15.

Serving President Donald Trump as White House Deputy Assistant and Principal Deputy Director for the Office of Public Liaison, Munisteri has returned to Texas as the current campaign point person for Senator John Cornyn.

Munisteri is said by many to know the political landscape of Texas better than most. He became involved in politics while in high school volunteering for the Republican Party and founded the Young Republicans of Texas in 1980 at the age of 23.

In 2010 he took the reins of the Republican Party of Texas as its chairman and made the party fiscally strong as well as successfully engaging Hispanic, Asian American and African American voters.

While Munisteri peppers serious subject matter with humor, his decades of experience in the political arena makes him one of the most respected Republicans in Texas.

You’re invited to join in hearing from this dynamic speaker at the Family Life Center, 302 Nolan at Holland Street in Navasota, directly across the street from the First Presbyterian Church.

Reservations are required for this special catered event and must be received no later than 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 11. The cost of the meal is $10.

Doors open at 11 a.m. for a social ‘half-hour. The meet-i n g will b e - gin at 11:30 a.m. followed by the speaker and the monthly business meeting, ending at 1 p.m. Gentlemen are also welcomed to attend.
