Pumpkin patch opens Oct. 2
Nothing says fall like pumpkins, and the First Presbyterian Church Pumpkin Patch is opening Oct. 2-31.
The pumpkin patch will feature 25 varieties of pumpkins from the Navajo Indian Reservation, in New Mexico. Ninety-five-percent of the staff providing pumpkins to the First Presbyterian Pumpkin Patch are Native Americans.
Proceeds from the pumpkin patch will benefit First Presbyterian Church Ministries and the Christian Community Center Food Pantry. Staff at the pumpkin patch are accepting non-perishable food items for the pantry the entire month of October.
The pumpkin patch will be located at the corner of Holland and LaSalle Street and will be open Monday- Friday from 11 a.m. until 6:30 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. and Sundays from noon until 6:30 p.m. There will also be a Fall Fest Saturday, Oct. 8, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
