One shot during altercation

A physical altercation in Navasota has resulted with one victim shot. 

Navasota Police Chief Shawn Myatt stated a fight occurred between two men in the 600 block of Wades Way. During the altercation one individual pulled a gun and allegedly shot the other man. 

Myatt said the victim was airlifted to the hospital. The the victim is in serious condition. Myatt also confirmed the shooter is in custody and that there is no threat to the public as this is an isolated incident.
