NPL offers writer's workshop
Author and speaker Bronwyn Bowen will lead a workshop designed to give people the tools to record the highlights of their lives in short, informal memoirs.
On Monday, November 7, at 5:30 p.m. the Navasota Public Library will offer “Every Life Has Moments Worth Retelling,” a free three-hour workshop focusing on memoir-writing tips. Author and speaker Bronwyn Bowen will lead the workshop which is designed to give people with little writing background the inspiration and tools to record the highlights of their lives in short, informal memoirs.
Bowen said, "Do you have family stories that you want to preserve for your children and grandchildren? (They will thank you for it!) Most of us wish we knew more about those who came before us, and many great family stories have been lost to history because no one wrote them down."
Contact the Library at (936) 825-6744 by November 1st to register. Please bring a few written sentences to the workshop about why you're interested in passing along your memories.
