NFD chief to speak at GCRW

The Grimes County Republican Women’s April 16 meeting will feature Navasota Fire Department Chief Jason Katkoski as guest speaker.

Katkoski will discuss how the NFD is serving the citizens, about regional coordination related to fire services, active shooter situations as well as provide an update on communication upgrades in the area.

K a t - koski is a Navasota native and his relationship with the NFD g o e s b a c k more than 25 years as a young volunteer. He became fire chief in 2005 and has since taken on the role of Emergency Management Coordinator for the City of Navasota.

The GCRW believe in the Republican philosophy that the right of the individual to achieve the best that is within him, as long as he respects the rights of others, is the source of our Nation’s strength and that equal rights, equal justice and equal opportunity belong to all, regardless of race, creed, age, sex or national origin.

Join the GCRW in the Citizens State Bank meeting room the third Tuesday of each month. Doors open at 11 a.m. Lunch is $10 and begins at 11:30 a.m. followed by the speaker, the monthly business meeting and ending at 1 p.m. Gentlemen are also welcomed to attend.
