New Year’s Resolutions
New Year’s Resolution? Huh, let’s be honest, do we really stick to them? I know I don’t. I’m not big on making “new year’s resolutions” and I usually don’t do the black eyed-peas, cabbage, etc.
I pray. I pray for the year I am leaving behind and I thank the Good Lord for all the good, bad, and ugly. I pray for the upcoming year. I pray for everyone around me, for all my family and friends – far and near – and for this great country we live in.
This year, however, we will start planning our wedding. So, please pray for me! Stay tuned!
Happy 2023, My Friends! Let’s make it the best year yet!

I have not had much luck in the past with new year’s resolutions, but I will make serious efforts to find a way to get better sleep and reduce negativity in my life in 2023!

As the new city manager for Navasota, 2022 can be best described as me drinking from a fire hose! My 2023 New Year’s Resolution is to continue to work on relationships in the community, strengthening our communication with all stakeholders, and making Navasota a destination for everyone to want to work, live, play, and visit. Moreover, I plan on concentrating on the implementation of a parks & recreation program and beginning several key utility and street capital improvement projects.
One thing that I’ve not been so great at is managing my time and concentrating on my health and wellness. Many people have “working out and losing weight’ as their New Year’s Resolution. For me, I want to begin eating healthier and stop stress eating…finding a way to exercise more frequently…and taking a vacation here and there to recharge myself.
Happy New Year!

2023 New Year’s Resolution & Wishes from Joe Fauth – Grimes County Judge
My wish for all, is that inflation subsides and prices drop (interest rates included) back to pre-pandemic levels. May each citizen be given an extra dose of patience as we deal with the day-to-day frustrations of life, but that we also take a moment to be thankful for the good in our lives.
Finally, I pledge to do my best to help all to pursue, Life, Liberty, and Happiness in all that they do.
Happy 2023!
I resolve to continue to serve my Lord and my church, to love my family to the fullest, to try my best to be a good citizen, and to serve the community I love to the best of my ability.

New year means new plans, new goals and new relationships!
For 2023 our community can expect to see our Chamber more. We will strengthen old relationships, build new ones and steer the tremendous growth coming to Grimes County through a stronger Social Media presence, more events around Grimes County,
and most importantly more partnerships with employers both big and small. Once known as the “Land of milk and honey” now in 2023 means:
we will see more jobs, and more of our families being provided for and the sweet taste of a strong economy throughout our county!
I look forward to showing everyone just what Grimes County can “bring to the table”!

Happy New Year! In 2023, I plan to start fresh with my new job as Chief. Although I have already been in this role, I want our department to consider this a new, fresh start. Organization is important – not just in my office (you know if you have been to visit), but also with the deparment. We are working to build up different programs to assist the community and continue be a positive proactive department.
Personally, I am going to get back in the gym to keep up with the officer’s workout schedule. I am also going to attempt to take a vacation with Ana without my work cellphone and laptop, spend some time at the deer lease and be more prepared for hunting season so the kids can see more deer!
Oh… and did I mention the wedding planning begins.

I hope all had a very Merry Christmas & I wish all a safe & healthy Happy New Year for 2023.
As we enter 2023, I simply wish that the danger and hatefulness that seems to plague our country begins to subside so our citizens can enjoy the safe and pleasant quality of life that they so deserve to raise their children and just quite frankly enjoy life in general without fear. Hopefully the respect for law and order will be maintained while ones that don’t and make or continue to make bad choices will realize that justice will hold them accountable, and victims will receive the protection under the law that they know is expected in a peaceful and civil society. Now that is my “humble opinion” for a perfect world that is certainly somewhat possible.
Happy New Year to everyone!!!
