Downtown Navasota will be getting down with the blues at its upcoming “Reds, Wheats & Blues” Festival on Saturday, November 13, from 2-6pm. This year’s Festival takes place all along the downtown area and is an afternoon of wine and craft beer tastings. Great pre-Christmas shopping opportunities will abound in the lovely downtown shops and boutiques, as each location hosts a craft brewery, regional winery or be designated as a non-alcoholic stop.

Live blues music provided by Tubie and the Touchtones and Neil and the Real Deal will waft through town adding to the ambience. Local artists will have their works on display.

Check-in is at the Navasota Visitor’s Center at the corner of Washington and Farquhar Streets. Attendees will receive a complimentary commemorative sampling glass and an event map that will guide them to the various displays of local wineries and breweries. Finger foods will also be at each stop and local food vendors will be on hand to add to the festivities. The new Rail & Rye Rooftop Bar will host an after party on their deck, with more music, food and drinks beginning at 6:00 p.m.

The event is underwritten by title sponsor Sterling Auto Group of Navasota with additional funding from the Arts Council of the Brazos Valley and TDA Go Texan Program.

Pre-sale tickets are $20 and include participation at all festival activities. Tickets may be purchased online through the Chamber of Commerce website (navasotagrimeschamber. com) or may be purchased the day of the event for $25 starting at 1:30 p.m.
