Multi-vehicle crash on Hwy. 105
An accident involving four vehicles delayed traffic over an hour and a half on Texas State Highway 105 East near County Road 314 Friday evening, Nov. 26.
Grime County Patrol Sergeant Nic Malmstrom stated the accident is still being investigated, but preliminary investigations indicate at approximately 5:41 p.m., three vehicles: a blue, 2018 Nissan Rogue; white, 2018 Ford Fusion; and a white, 2014 Chevrolet Silverado were traveling eastbound on Highway 105.
Malmstrom said the blue Nissan Rogue, driven by a 37-year old College Station man attempted to make a left turn onto County Road 334. The vehicle struck the Ford Fusion and Chevrolet Silverado causing them to veer into oncoming traffic. A gray 2021 Nissan Rogue was traveling westbound and sideswiped the Fusion and Silverado.
The driver of the Ford Fusion, a 53-year old man from Lockhart was air-lifted to St. Joseph Regional Hospital in Bryan. He was admitted to the hospital in stable condition. The driver of the blue Rogue was transported to Scott & White Hospital in College Station. He was treat ed and released.
The driver of the Silverado, a 48-year old Bryan man was transported to St. Joseph Regional Hospital in Bryan, where he was treated and released. A passenger in the gray Nissan Rogue was transported to Texas Children’s Hospital in the Woodlands and was released later that night.
At this time Malstrom said no citations have been issued.
