Masks for troops

With COVID-19 (Coronavirus) spreading precautions are underway and Grimes County can help prevent the outbreak by donating to American troops in South Korea.

Mary Fontaine is collecting masks (surgical, dust, paint etc.) to send to Chaplin Harold Woody Morris who is stationed in South Korea and currently is assigned to 1,000 soldiers. The goal is to hopefully help combat the virus.

Fontaine will be checking drop-off locations weekly and if enough masks are collected, will mail them weekly as well. She anticipates the fundraiser to last approximately a month.

Mask drop-offs may be made to The Examiner, Grimes County Chamber of Commerce, Navasota Police Department, Grimes County Sheriff’s Office, Grimes County VFW Post 4006, Willy 98.7, or to the Voter Registration office in the Grimes County Courthouse.

For additional information contact Mary Fontaine, 936-499-6627.
