Juveniles arrested in stolen van collision

Navasota Police Department apprehended two male juveniles accused of being involved in a stolen van collision and fleeing the scene. According to Navasota Police Chief Shawn Myatt the suspects were apprehended April 23 and confessed to stealing the van and being involved in the crash. Both juveniles are charged with theft of a motor vehicle and leaving the scene of an accident. April 19, officers responded to a collision at the intersection of Texas State Highway 6 and Farm to Market Road 3090. The collision involved a Chevrolet truck and a Chevrolet Express van that was later determined to be stolen from Salem House of Blessing Church in Navasota. The two juveniles were seen exiting the overturned van and fleeing the scene on foot.
