GCSO seeking leads in tire theft

Grimes County Sheriff’s Office and the Montgomery County Auto Task Force are seeking leads in the Nov. 5 theft at Global Vacuum Systems in Navasota.

According to a press release by Grimes County Sheriff’s Office, the incident was reported Nov. 6. A total of 71 tires and wheels were stolen from nine company vehicles overnight on Nov. 6. Multiple suspects are involved in the incident and law enforcement said they “all seemed familiar with the property and displayed tactics consistent with an organized criminal group.”

Officers processed the scene and determined the value of the missing tires and wheels at approximately $85,000.
