GCSO assists with flood rescues

    Courtesy photos Members of the Grimes County Sheriff’s Office assisted Orange County Sheriff’s Office and the city of Vidor in the wake of Tropical Storm Imelda that impacted the area drastically. They also assisted Chamber Count Sheriffs's office in the Winnie community. The group of Ryan Rutledge, Daniel Caswell, Mike Fiashetti and James Ellis assisted with water rescues and performed various duties that were needed. The group from Grimes County used a 5-ton military vehicle donated by Don and Connie Pyburn of Richards and the GCSO rescue boat.
