ROANS PRARIE- Anderson Shiro CISD Elementary principle Marcy Pavlock is asking that the community help assist a family that lost their home in a house fire Tuesday evening.
According to Shiro Volunteer Fire Chief Ed Sharron, a single-wide mobile home located off of Texas State Highway 30 in Roans Prairie across from Family Dollar was a total loss Tuesday evening, Aug. 6. Sharron said the fire that is believed to have originated from an extension cord also destroyed an attached building as well as a vehicle and riding lawnmower. No one was home at the time of the fire.
Pavlock said the family lost everything and needs Walmart, Brookshire Brothers or Family Dollar gift cards so they can go and get exactly what they need.
Donations may be dropped off at Anderson-Shiro Elementary, 458 FM 149 in Anderson or mailed to the same address.
