David Lewis headlines Bluebonnet Opry

David Lewis will bring his traditional country sound to the Silver Wings Ballroom Stage for the monthly Bluebonnet Opry concert Thursday, Nov. 17.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the show begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $8 each and are sold at the door. A portion of the proceeds benefits Hospice Brazos Valley. Bluebonnet Opry has concerts every third Thursday of the month. The Silver Wings Ballroom snack bar will be open serving hamburgers, hot dogs, sodas and adult beverages.

Country roots run deep with David Lewis after being raised in the small town of Bellville. Music has been a part of David's life from a young age. First playing in church then on the opry circuit
across Texas, he has had the chance to perform with numerous musicians who focused on traditional country.
David found himself being drawn to the music of Merle Haggard, George Strait, and
Brooks and Dunn, where he continues to make traditional country sound new again. His performances have earned him numerous awards through the years and given him the opportunity to share the stage with country stars like Mark Chesnutt and Diamond Rio.
In 2019, David wrote and co-produced his debut album “Country Music Therapy” which is available on all the major streaming platforms. David is currently writing his sophomore album
which he plans to release in the near future.
David’s shows are high energy performances that combine amazing guitar picking and classic vocal sounds. It has often been said that David is a mixture of Brad Paisley and George Strait, which has earned him fans of all ages. The fun David has on stage is contagious, and you will leave remembering how country music should make you feel.
David has said that being a musician is a journey and no one’s path is the same. He has met fine musicians and supportive fans along the way. He is thankful for every opportunity where he can share his passion and keep real country music alive.
