Council takes no action

Navasota City Council hosted a special meeting Monday, Nov. 1, at 6 p.m. to discuss applicants for City Manager to fill the vacancy left by the retirement of former City Manager Brad Stafford.

Council allowed a time for open remarks from visitors, however none were made. The Council then convened into Executive Session as permitted by Section 551.074, Texas Government Code - Personnel Matters - Discussion concerning the appointment, employment, evaluation, and duties of a new City Manager, including but not limited to review and discussion of applications/resumes and associated documents received from applicants for the City Manager position, and related issues.

Council reconvened into open-session at 7:05 p.m. No action was taken on agenda item six, the consideration and possible action concerning the appointment, employment, evaluation and duties of a new City Manager, and related issues.

The next regularly scheduled City Council meeting is Monday, Nov. 8, at 6 p.m.
