Children air-lifted from accident
ANDERSON — Two children were air-lifted following a three-vehicle accident Friday, Dec. 8, in Anderson.
Texas Department of Public Safety Sergeant Justin Ruiz said the preliminary investigation indicates around 5:50 p.m., a 2015 Nissan Altima and a 2020 Chevrolet SUV were traveling northbound on Texas 90. The Nissan stopped to turn left on FM 244 when the Chevrolet struck it in the rear causing it to go into the southbound lane and strike a 2023 Kia passenger car traveling southbound.
Two people in the Nissan, the driver and a passenger, were transported to CHI St. Joseph Regional Hospital with suspected serious injuries. Two 12-year-old children who were also in the vehicle were air-lifted to Memorial Herman Houston.
The driver and passengers of the Chevrolet were transported to CHI St. Joseph Regional Hospital with suspected minor injuries. The driver of the KIA was treated by EMS on scene.
The accident remains under investigation.
