Bedias man killed Monday night

BEDIAS – A 20-year old Bedias man was killed in a one-vehicle crash near Bedias late Monday night, Nov. 30.

Texas Department of Public Safety Sergeant Justin Ruiz stated at approximately 10:10 p.m., a 2015 Ford Pickup driven by Lucas Lorca was traveling northbound on Texas State Highway 90, 4.7 miles south of Bedias, at a high rate of speed. Ruiz said the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree, ejecting Lorca.

Lorca was pronounced deceased on scene by Grimes County Justice of the Peace Chris Acord. According to Ruiz the accident remains under investigation.
