Bedias Christmas parade Dec. 17

Celebrate Christmas in Bedias Saturday, Dec. 17, with an array of holiday events including the annual Bedias Civic Club Christmas Parade.

The day begins bright and early from 8 -10 a.m. with Breakfast with Santa. Breakfast consisting of pancakes and sausage will be served at Bedias Civic Center, 3652 Main Street. Santa will also be available for photos.

Following breakfast, is the popular Gingerbread House decorating contest. There are categories for children, teens and adults. All houses must be turned in by 9:30 a.m. Judging is from 10-10:30 a.m. then winners will be announced.

The Bedias Civic Club Christmas Parade at 6 p.m. This year awards will be presented for the top-three best parade entries. First place will be awarded $100 and a certificate; second place, $75 and a certificate and $50 and a certificate for third place. Parade entry forms are available by calling 979-575-0267.

Concluding the day after the parade are cookies, cocoa and photos with Santa at the Civic Center.
