Easter Sunday was a beautiful day in many ways. Lots of families started their day by attending church followed by family dinners and get-togethers. Ours was no different. Each year on Easter Sunday my family gathers in Dobbin at the home of my late grandparents John and Rosa Herzog, now owned by my uncle Darrell Herzog. One of my cousins found and brought a picture of me with all my first cousins taken there on Easter of 1969, 50 years ago. We decided to re-create that picture in front of the same tree in the yard. A couple cousins were missing from the original picture though. Although some family members weren’t in attendance, we still had 65 that came. Talk about some good, good food and homemade desserts to die for, it was there for all to enjoy.
