Years ago, I worked at Service Printing in Conroe for Frank and Gladys Moore of Montgomery. After 28 years I left there and went to work part-time for my parents at Hoffart’s Grocery and part-time at Candles & Moore in Montgomery for Frank Jr. and Angela Moore. Frank and Angela had four children: Chase, Hayden, Tyler and Brittney. Friday evening, Feb. 18, Tyler Moore and Bridget Wachel tied the knot at The Farmhouse venue in Dobbin. It was a wedding I couldn’t miss since
I was at the hospital when he was born! Bridget is the daughter of Ray and Brenda Wachel of Bremond. Congratulations to Tyler and Bridget who will reside in Montgomery.

This past week was tough for our family. My uncle, Charlie McDuffie of Iola, was tragically killed in a tractor/train wreck in Iola Tuesday, Feb. 15. Charlie was married to my aunt Ann (sister to my mom Dolores) for almost 28 years. You rarely saw these two apart – in fact, at our family wedding or baby showers, attendees would always be all the females in the family plus Charlie if Ann was there. All these years we (Charlie, Ann, Don and I) sat in the same pew at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church on Sundays that all four of us were in church. It was very difficult for me this Sunday in church sitting in that same pew knowing he will never occupy that seat again as a human. I will have to conclude that he is still there but only in spirit and not in body. I thank this special man and appreciate him for always treating my aunt Ann like a queen. She will be so lost. Please pray for her to have the strength to continue on in life.
